Lisbon Thoughts

Lisbon has a lot to offer with some beautiful views across the seven hills overlooking the Tagus River and the city!

The city is fairly inexpensive compared to other European cities we visited with great food, beer and wine.

The cobblestone streets carve through the tile buildings and beautiful street artwork all throughout the city!

Lisbon thrives at a lot slower pace than most other cities --- maybe other than Spain!

You simply have to take a day trip to Sintra and Cascais. This was one of our favorite places of the entire trip!

FYI’s: you will likely have to wait in a line to go in the tower. They limit capacity, too! We got right to the front and then had to wait a while until more people left. A standard ticket costs €6. Also, watch the waves 🙂 — they will splash you haha. The tower offers beautiful views!

4. Padrão dos Descobrimentos

NOTE: you can go to the top of this monument, but we just admired the views! We had just spent a lot of time & some euros at Belém Tower — so, we saved (#budgettravelers 🙃).
